According to British workplace
accident investigations fall is the biggest causes of fatal accidents with 34
of the 72 worker deaths in construction in 2007/2008. The main cause of the
fatal accident in construction in Singapore is falling from heights, which is
getting 34% contributed in the workplace fatal accidents in the period of 2002
to 2006. The World Health Organization stated that approximately 540,000 people
die from falls in the year of 2010. Hence the No 1 killer in the workplace,
particularly in construction is falling from height. If we prevent falls from
heights we can save a lot of valuable human lives.

Commitment in prevention of
injury to persons from incidents of falling from a height through height
hazards. This policy must be communicated to all personnel who involved in the

Must ensure do their job for
each and every person who involving in the projects like top management, safety
personals, site personals and workers
Identify
the Risk and Control Measure:
Identify the risk at work at
heights and reduce risk level to the acceptable level by the effective control
measure like using proper safety equipment when working at heights
